- Associate degree in computer science or related field with a minimum of one (1\) year of relevant work experience in either application support or computer networking; or equivalent combination of education and work experience sufficient to perform the duties of the position.
- Pass an initial comprehensive criminal background check and be subject to periodic background checks during the course of your employment in this position.
- Valid State of New Mexico Driver's license or able to obtain within six (6\) months of employment.

- Work is performed in an office environment; may be subject to repetitive motion such as typing, data entry and vision to monitor; may be subject to extended periods of intense concentration in the review of documents and reports.
- May be subject to bending, reaching, kneeling, and lifting such as retrieving files, records, and reports.
- Required to sign and adhere to a Non\-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary company information as part of daily duties.
- Full time work hours for this position consists of scheduled “on call” rotation as a requirement, including nights, weekends, and overtime.
- Work schedule for this position may include working on religious holidays.
- Utilize, process, and navigate the County’s electronic ERP system as necessary and appropriate based on the needs and requirements of this position.

- Conducting all job functions with an awareness of security technologies and best practices, making recommendations and implementing security measures to protect all County data and assets.
- Provide support, configuration, and troubleshooting for the County's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and other enterprise applications, including user training, workflow setup, and gathering user needs to inform system improvements.
- Design and generate custom reports for departments as requested using reporting tools including SQL Server Reporting Services and Excel.
- Set up new users and manage user permissions and roles in enterprise applications and IT systems.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for department staff regarding application issues; translate user needs into actionable IT solutions and coordinate resolution with appropriate staff.
- Monitor enterprise applications for proper operation and escalate issues as appropriate.
- Assist with installation of system upgrades and patches for applications and infrastructure systems in coordination with infrastructure staff.
- Provide Level I and II support for virtual infrastructure, client hardware, and applications for County facilities.
- Assist in resolution of system issues, coordinating with infrastructure staff as needed.
- Assist County elected offices at key times of the year with technology\-related needs.
- May assist in administration of regular backup, storage, and retrieval functions of critical data.
- Develop and maintain documentation and procedures for various IS systems.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Under general supervision of the IS Manager, the IS Generalist I \- Applications provides support for the County's enterprise applications and information systems, including user\-facing technologies, reporting, and infrastructure support. This position works directly with departments to understand their technology needs and translates those needs into effective system solutions. This position may entail access to confidential employee information.
