About the Role
Clinical Trial Coordinators/Medical Device Installers serve as vital, front\-line team members at our study sites. Working with clinical teams this role blends clinical research, patient interaction and in\-home medical device setup, making it ideal for candidates with experience in healthcare operations, research coordination, or technical field support.
In this role, you will play a key part in advancing heart failure care.
Key Responsibilities
- Screen and confirm eligibility by reviewing patient medical records and coordinating with the clinical care team to confirm inclusion and exclusion criteria.
- Manage consent documentation, including preparing paperwork, explaining the study to patients, obtaining signatures from both patients and investigators, and securely storing documentation.
- Coordinate and conduct home visits, including the installation of the Heartfelt device, educating patients on how it works, and resolving any technical or connectivity issues during setup.
- Monitor device performance, responding to issues proactively and escalating concerns when necessary.
- Accurately complete clinical documentation, including the timely entry and updating of data in the study’s electronic case report forms (eCRFs).
- Maintain regulatory and study documentation in accordance with the protocol, ensuring timely audit\-ready records
- Collaborate closely with sites and Heartfelt’s clinical trial team to ensure study protocol is followed and high standards of care are maintained.
- Experience in customer service or patient\-facing roles
- Ability to perform job duties, including travel and in\-home visits, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Tech\-savvy: able to set up, test, and carry out basic troubleshooting of medical devices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a mobile schedule
- Comfortable working in a hospital setting
- Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) or clinical data systems
- Prior experience in device installation, field service, or patient\-facing support roles
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent hands\-on experience
- This role requires regular local travel to patient homes and the ability to transport medical devices. Driving is an essential function of the position.
