Medical Biller Job Description

Branches of Growth Mental Health Counseling, PLLC is a behavioral health practice that is seeking an in office/remote Medical Biller to lend clerical support to the psychotherapists and the office manager. We are looking for someone who is an excellent communicator, detail oriented, professional and has some knowledge of the mental health field.

DailyResponsibilities

• Review EOB’s and input payments into paysheet
• Run client copays
• Manage outstanding invoices with the assistance of the office manager
• Verify insurance benefits
• Complete various applications for insurance companies
• Attend staff meetings, as needed
• Collaborate and communicate with the behavioral health care team, as well as other office staff
• Perform other related duties \& responsibilities as assigned/requested by owner/ office manager
• Complete medical billing for mental health claims, follow up on claims, denials, file 1500 forms as needed
• Maintain knowledge of billing requirements for insurance companies
• Bill secondary insurance claims
• Contact Insurance companies as needed
• Work with clients to resolve outstanding balances
• 15\-20hours per week

Qualifications:

Experience in billing in the mental health field

Detail oriented

Excellent communication skills

Strong knowledge in medicaid and medicare billing/ systems

Rate of Pay: $20\-23/ hour
