Overview
Seeking a compassionate and skilled Board\-Certified Music Therapist (MT\-BC) to join our team focused on providing exceptional music therapy services to children with disabilities, older adults, and/or teens and youth in the community. This role involves tailoring therapeutic sessions to address the unique needs of each child, fostering their personal growth, and providing support to their families.
Some sessions will take place at the office in Longmont but most of the work will be providing home/facility visits in Longmont and areas south (Erie, Broomfield, Lafayette, etc.). Meetings, continuing education, and the instrument library will be provided virtually or at the Longmont office location. The starting caseload will vary depending on the potential employee’s availability and willingess to travel.
While AIWMT specializes in early childhood, we also serve teens, adults, and older adults, and looking for MT\-BCs that can support expanding services for these populations.
Responsibilities
* Communication: Respond to referral questions, communicate with supervisor, communicate with clients/families/facilities as appropriate to each situation or as directed by the supervisor, and other professionals
* Schedule: follow the schedule agreed upon with the supervisor, which might be set weekly (flexibility will be determined with caseload or as instructed by the supervisor)
* Meetings: Attend monthly Company meetings and bring any questions, concerns, and praises. Be available on the first Monday of each month at 8:30\-9:30 am.
* Attendance: Must be present at all scheduled meetings, trainings, sessions, admin time, session prep, and reporting.
* Use Session Prep Time: Plan sessions, create visual aides, and research (schedule provided by Company)
* Client Contact: Conduct high\-quality, personalized, client\-focused, research\-based sessions to address physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs. Utilize various music techniques to help clients achieve therapeutic goals.
* Documentation: Complete session notes for each client contact and document cancellations.
* Reports: Complete an Initial Assessment for each new client and Quarter Reports for each client as instructed in the training manual. Conduct data collection and analysis to track progress and outcomes.
* Manage: electronics (downloading apps, dealing with password resets/forgot my password, checking emails, shared files, etc.) and unexpected requests from clients, professional collaboration, work time expectations, continuing education, and clocking in and out.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Music Therapy (will consider Bachelor's)
- Board\-Certified Music Therapist (MT\-BC) mandatory

- Excellent written skills as it pertains to client documentation and communication with clients, families, and employers
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with families, colleagues, supervisors, and a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication skills with clients, families, and other professionals
- Display competence on various devices (iPad, phone, computer) to access client files, emails, session material, download apps, etc.

Willing to work after\-school hours at least 3 days a week (mandatory). Strongly prefer willingness to work at least one half day on Saturday or Sunday*
Pay: $16\.00 \- $40\.00 per hour
