General Job Summary

The Loan Officer Assistant is the personal support to a high producing Loan Officer or Sales Manager with consistent loan closing volume of $ 2 Million per month. Duties include general clerical, loan origination functions to include pre\-qualifying clients, file data entry, file organization and LO pipeline management. This person will assist in marketing and customer retention initiatives on behalf of the loan officer. This person will maintain a professional company image through in person and phone interaction coupled with exemplary customer service to both internal and external contacts.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Loan Pipeline management of Loan Officer’s clients and prospect files.
  • Customer follow up to gather required mortgage application and approval documentation conditions from clients and prospects, and scheduling closing times as necessary
  • Clerical/Office Assistant duties including but not limited to phone/email management for LO, mail/overnight items, client and business partner meeting organization, supplies management and copy/scan/fax documents to loan in client S Drive folder
  • Data entry of applications into Loan Origination System
  • Day to Day communication with Processing staff to assist in compliance and documentation requirements
  • Organization of client files and documents, with submission to processing staff
  • Organization of promotional activities for LO to include marketing flyers, advertising, sales meetings and marketing campaigns requested by managing LO or Sales Manager
  • Other Job Functions

  • All other duties as assigned by management
  • Requirements:

    Education, Training and Work Experience

  • High School diploma or GED required; Associate degree desired
  • At least 2 years Administrative/Mortgage/Real Estate Assistant experience required
  • Must have active NMLS license
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Maintain \& foster positive relationships with customers and business partners
  • Complete all assigned training in a timely manner
  • Excellent knowledge of mortgage and home equity products and GSE underwriting guidelines. Strong sales, member service and leadership skills essential. Consistently produces high volume
  • Provide professional communication in both oral \& written expression to work effectively with users and management.
  • Organizational skills with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines while maintaining high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to manage highly confidential information
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and mortgage origination software programs
  • Working Environment

    Primary working environment is within an indoor climate\-controlled office space. Employee may be subject to florescent lighting, dust, and other normal indoor\-allergens. Employee will work in close proximity of coworkers and occasionally independently in quiet environments.

    Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift up to 20 pounds
  • Extended periods of sitting (at computer desk)
  • Frequent standing or moving
  • Complete repetitive tasks (including operation of computer mouse/keyboard)
