- Provide individualized support to clients seeking prescription assistance, chronic disease supplies, referrals, and education.
- Conduct intake interviews, gather medical histories, and assist with eligibility documentation.

- Assist the Medical Services Director with the Rx Assist program and other HealthLink services.
- Support chronic disease and nutrition programs offered through HealthLink at the Missions.
- If appropriately certified, assist with basic laboratory support services, including point\-of care testing such as A1C, glucose checks, and other approved procedures.
- Assist with administrative duties including phone management, filing, communication tasks, scanning, copying, and mail\-outs.
- Provide coverage for the front desk when assigned to maintain a welcoming environment.
- Maintain accurate, confidential electronic and paper records consistent with HIPAA standards.
- Support data entry and documentation needs for all HealthLink programs.
- Participate in outreach activities that expand access to HealthLink services.
- Engage professionally with community partners, providers, and visiting medical professionals.
- Represent HealthLink at the Missions with a high standard of compassion and professionalism.
- Follow directives from the Medical Services Director and support all program duties as assigned.
- Work collaboratively with staff and departments across the Edmundite Missions.
- Maintain a mission\-driven approach to client care aligned with the values of the Missions.
- Complete other duties as assigned.

- Up to 25 hours per week, with a set assigned schedule.
Position Summary
The Part\-Time Medical Advocate supports HealthLink at the Missions by assisting uninsured and underinsured residents of Dallas County in accessing prescription assistance, chronic disease support, and essential medical resources. This role provides compassionate guidance to individuals managing diabetes, hypertension, and other chronic conditions, ensuring they feel supported, respected, and never alone in navigating healthcare systems.
The Medical Advocate works under the direction of the Medical Services Director and assists with all HealthLink operations—including the Rx Assist program, administrative duties, client support, and program coordination.
