The University of Iowa Office of the Registrar is hiring a dedicated Associate Registrar, Registration Systems and Services. (100% appointment)
The Associate Registrar for Registration Systems and Services is responsible for managing tasks and systems supporting registration including but not limited to: registration of summer and special programs, preparation of early registration, priority registration, schedule builder, restrictions/seat reservations, waitlists, registration holds, and prerequisites. They will also oversee the Registrar Service Center, the customer service area of the Office of the Registrar, lead by a full\-time staff member and student employees. The Associate Registrar will also have the opportunity to:
- Oversee registration processes including but not limited to online registration change authorizations, Schedule Builder, prerequisites, special permission, bulk registration requests, independent study enrollment, and waitlists.
- Direct and oversee Big10 Academic Alliance CourseShare, Traveling Scholar, and Regents Exchange Program registration and grade entry transactions throughout the session.
- Review registration service fee appeals from students and departments.

- Supervisory or team leadership experience required
- A minimum of 3 years in higher educations (two\- or four\-year institutions), focusing on registration, curriculum management, or academic planning.
- Some (6 months to a year) experience with MAUI or similar information system
- Demonstrates an extensive proficiency level in the following competencies:
- Experience (preferably 2 or more years) working directly in MAUI
- Demonstrates a WORKING proficiency level in:
- a current resume
- a cover letter

About the Department:In the Office of the Registrar our mission is to provide the University faculty, staff, students, and public with accurate academic records that support the worldwide education mission of our institution. We work with every faculty, staff, student, department, and dean's office on this campus coordinating and providing services related to the student records: course catalog, registration, fees, records, transcripts, data warehouse, institutional research, reporting, maintenance, and security for student records data, grading process, graduation, and diploma services. Our services provide support for all departments in the Provost's responsibilities.
Required Qualifications:
* Master's Degree, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Competencies Required:
o Ability to lead meetings, facilitate discussions, and guide decision\-making processes.
o Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to partner with both technical and non\-technical stakeholders
o Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing priorities
o Ability to manage and implement complex policies and business processes, including making judgments independently regarding the accuracy of information/data.
o Strong aptitude for learning new tools and technologies
Desirable Qualifications:
o Knowledge of University of Iowa policies and procedures.
o Knowledge of regulations, familiarity with the operations of a registrar’s office.
o Knowledge of FERPA.

Work Modality: This position is eligible for hybrid work within Iowa and will require a work arrangement form to be completed upon the start of your employment. Per policy, work arrangements will be reviewed annually, and must comply with the remote work program and related policies and employee travel policy when working at a remote location.
Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: 60,000 to commensurate, with the top of the range reserved for exceptionally qualified applicants. This position includes a comprehensive and competitive benefits package.
