The OPS Graduate Admissions Office Assistant supports the daily operations of the Graduate Admissions office by providing front\-line customer service and administrative support. This position serves as the first point of contact for prospective students, visitors, and campus partners while ensuring a welcoming, organized, and efficient admissions experience.Job Description
Typical duties include, but are not limited to:
- Greets and assists visitors, applicants, and campus guests in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answers and routes incoming phone calls, provides general information, and takes accurate messages.
- Responds to basic inquiries regarding graduate programs, application processes, and office procedures.
- Maintains an organized, clean, and welcoming reception area.
- Assists with administrative tasks including data entry, filing, document preparation, and record maintenance.
- Supports admissions events such as information sessions and campus visits.
- Collaborates with admissions staff to ensure smooth daily operations and timely communication.
- Performs other job\-related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast\-paced environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Proficiency with email, phone systems, and basic office software.
- Prior customer service or administrative experience.
