Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Recovery Manager, the Courier is responsible for the transport of ocular tissue to and from our Winston\-Salem, NC office throughout North Carolina and South Carolina.

Responsibilities

  • Pick\-up tissue from PON offices
  • Deliver tissue to surgical sites
  • Oversee vehicle maintenance
  • Expectations

  • Manage multiple priorities effectively while meeting established deadlines.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Exhibit initiative in identifying needs, solving problems, and improving processes.
  • Support a culture of collaboration, respect, and accountability.
  • Demonstrate reliability and follow\-through on assigned responsibilities.

  • Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
  • Demonstrate Professional behavior and exceptional customer service
  • Be a self\-starter and ability to work autonomously
  • Must be able to work some weekends and holidays
  • Must maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information.
  • Physical Demands

  • Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and working at a computer or desk.
  • Frequent use of computers for documentation, data entry, and virtual collaboration.
  • Requires ability to use hands and fingers for typing, data entry, and office equipment.
  • Occasional lifting of materials or supplies up to 25 lbs.
  • Requires clear vision and hearing, with or without corrective devices, to communicate and complete work tasks.
  • Ability to concentrate for extended periods and manage multiple tasks or deadlines in an office environment.
  • Requires travel to other office locations, meetings, or events.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in person, by phone, and through digital platforms.
