Aleut International Association is recruiting for a part\- time or full\-time temporary Administrative Intern to work with AIA for up to 12 weeks. This position maybe be mostly off\-site and some travel may be required. Job Description Role and Responsibilities:
The Administrative Intern will be a self\-starter and proactive member in regional, national and international outreach, advancing the organization’s goals in the Aleut Region. The Intern will help to promote AIA’s mission and programs, and raise awareness in local Aleut communities, as well as at State, National and International levels. We are looking for an individual who is passionate, energetic, and enthusiastic about working with us on important Aleut International programs, partnerships, and activities.
The intern will be required to quickly familiarize themselves with the Arctic Council, AIA communities, current programs and partnerships and engage with all involved about AIA activities across several different platforms.
The intern will play an active role in day\-to\-day communication activities (electronic, social and traditional media). The intern will also be required to assist the Environmental Coordinator and other Staff with managing the calendars, board meeting minutes, program work, outreach and various other tasks and day to day activities including but not limited to the following:
· Attend and occasionally present at meetings, conferences, seminars, and workshops on AIA’s behalf when required.
· Collaborate with the different departments and colleagues to produce regular content (written stories, photos and video assets) for email, website, traditional, and social media outreach.
· Assist in the outreach and development of relationships with relevant individuals, organizations and businesses.
· Assist with travel and event planning
· Assist with all fundraising activities
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements:

* APICDA Employment Intern application package required
- College degree preferred or equivalent work experience
- High level of interpersonal \& communication skills
- Public speaking \& engagement
- Ability to work in a fast\-past environment and multitask
- Ability to work independently \& collaboratively
- Ability to meet multiple deadlines for a variety of projects
- Knowledge of the Russian and Alaska Aleut region, and the Arctic Council
