Duties \& Responsibilities:
- Document daily participation of residents in scheduled programs
- Promote the social, physical, and intellectual well\-being of our residents.
- Assist in planning, developing, organizing, and implementing the recreation programs of the facility.
- Participate in community marketing events as needed
- Assist with and follow through on the establishment of resident care goals within the framework of the entire team.
- Communicate the residents' mood, behavior, or degree of involvement to the appropriate team members.
- Perform administrative requirements as needed, such as audits, forms, and reports.
- Help set up, break down, and decorate for resident and facility events.
- Assist and transport residents to and from daily scheduled activities
- Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- As a minimum, one (1\) year experience in an Activities Department in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility or other related medical facility is preferred.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
- Must have patience, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.
