ABOUT: Innovative vascular practice providing in\-office treatments for various conditions. You will be a full member of the team where you are expected to participate in all aspects of patient care and practice management.

LOCATION: Long Beach/Remote

Position can be 50% remote, work from home. Must have quiet workspace at home and own equipment if completing shifts remote. If you don't have sufficient home work station, shifts will be 100% in person.

You are expected to work from the main office in Long Beach when patients or procedures are scheduled, and 1\-2 days per month at the the Beverly Hills office.

IDEAL FOR SOMEONE who likes to work remote from home, loves to multitask different duties, likes a variety, assisting in procedures, flexible schedule with some remote option

Pre\-meds, Pre\-PA will find this position ideal as you work alongside the doctor and not some room in a back office. Requires at least 12 month commitment; if you are leaving for school in 3 months you will be disqualified.

FLEXIBLE WORK DAYS:

Part time: 3, 4 days per week, flexible. Occasional weekend work is optional.

If full time desired, this is possible, likely 4 days to start and can offer 5 days per week after training completed.

Must be able to work during business hours of 9a \-12 pm and 1 p \- 5/6 p

STARTING PAY RATE:

$25 Subject to experience and completion of training.

After 3 months pay raise to $30\.

TRAINING:

3 month training period, 1st month of training is remote. Must have superior ability to be disciplined and self organize.

DUTIES:

Must be able to multitask and prioritize multiple incoming phone calls, emails, text and other duties.

Must be able to work efficiently independently and pay attention to details.

Must have excellent reading and writing skills to respond to emails and text.

Sales and social media experience is a plus\*

1\. Front and back office experience to assist with phone calls, scheduling, dealing with insurance questions, answer emails, and text.

2\. Be able to provide basic procedure details, costs, practice and physician details to potential clients. Attention to detail is important.

3\. Prepare and organize the surgery schedule by taking care of pending items, calling staff and patients to assure everything has been taken care of prior to the surgery date.

4\. Marketing calls to potential referring physician's offices.

5\. Help with any administrative practice needs/improvement projects.

6\. Be able to verify insurance and network status, obtain authorizations.

7\. Assist the physician with in\-office procedures. If you have experience with sterile technique this is preferred.

    Position Requirements

  • Medical Assistant (certification preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • No prior clinical experience required in the field but helpful
  • Answer phone calls, emails, online chat, online text
  • Assist in booking appointments
  • Experience in assisting with sterile procedures (preferred)
  • Prior experience in a Vascular, GYN or IR (preferred)
  • Prior experience with Athena EMR (preferred)
  • Social media experience (preferred)
  • Duties and Responsibilities

    For on\-site work:

  • Setting up exam rooms
  • Interview patients and document basic medical history, vital signs
  • Assisting doctors with examinations and other procedures relating to direct patient care.
  • Prepare and clean treatment rooms
  • Assist in sterile procedure (will be trained)
  • For off site work, help the following would be required:

  • Organize and schedule appointments
  • Update medical records and insurance reports
  • Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
  • Providing information to patients relating to referrals, follow up appointments and test results.
  • Answer texts and emails regarding appointments
