Job Summary

Insurance Specialists of the South Inc. is hiring a Customer Service Representative for a part\-time remote role supporting clients and day\-to\-day service needs across a multi\-line insurance agency. This position helps people who contact the agency for auto, home, business, life, and health insurance support. The role focuses on answering routine questions, gathering quote request details, updating customer records, helping with policy service follow\-up, and making sure each client is guided to the right next step. Training is provided, and we welcome candidates who are dependable, organized, and comfortable communicating with people.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls, emails, and online inquiries from current and prospective clients
  • Help gather basic information for insurance quote requests involving auto, home, business, life, and health coverage
  • Route client questions and service needs to the right licensed team member when needed
  • Assist with policy service support, including billing questions, document follow\-up, renewal reminders, and general account updates
  • Enter and update customer information in agency records with accuracy
  • Keep notes on client conversations, requested changes, and follow\-up items
  • Help clients understand what documents or information are needed for the next step
  • Monitor shared inboxes or contact requests and respond in a timely, professional way
  • Support a positive customer experience by being clear, respectful, and consistent in communication
  • Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Strong attention to detail and follow\-through
  • Comfort using email, web\-based systems, and shared digital files
  • Ability to stay organized while handling routine client questions and follow\-up tasks
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting
  • Customer service, office support, call handling, or insurance experience is helpful, but not required
  • Training is provided for candidates who show professionalism, reliability, and willingness to learn
