Part\-Time Receptionist / Administrative Assistant

We are seeking a polished, dependable Part\-Time Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to serve as the first point of contact for clients and incoming callers at our busy family law firm. This role is ideal for a self\-starter who thrives in a professional environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional service.

Schedule This position is best suited for candidates available weekdays from 12:30 PM – 5:30 PM. There is some flexibility depending on the circumstances and scheduling will be finalized based on the right candidate's availability.

Role Overview In addition to front desk responsibilities, this position involves significant data entry and database management — advanced computer literacy is essential. The ideal candidate is resourceful, professional, and capable of independently navigating office equipment and multiple software platforms after an initial training period.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Answer all incoming calls promptly using a multi\-line phone system
  • Greet clients and guests in the lobby and escort them to our offices
  • Learn firm operations, including how to run conflict checks and explain the client intake process
  • Relay detailed, accurate messages to paralegals and attorneys
  • Maintain the reception, conference, and beverage areas
  • Make daily runs to the post office, bank, and courthouse
  • Update office inventory on a weekly basis
  • Assist with trial binder preparation as needed
  • Qualifications

  • Associate's degree, or currently enrolled in an undergraduate program
  • Minimum 18 months\-2 years of experience working in a professional office setting
  • Advanced computer literacy, including comfort with multiple software platforms
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast\-paced environment
  • Professional demeanor and strong attention to detail
