\ Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Clinical Intake Coordinator, where your organizational skills and compassionate approach will play a vital role in connecting patients with the care they need. In this energetic position, you will be the first point of contact for patients, guiding them through the intake process with professionalism and efficiency. Your expertise in medical administrative support and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems will ensure seamless communication between patients and healthcare providers, setting the foundation for quality care delivery. \
    • Manage patient intake by collecting accurate medical histories, insurance information, and reason for visit using EMR systems such as Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks
    • Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance authorization and verification processes, including Medicare and HIPAA compliance
    • Schedule appointments efficiently utilizing medical scheduling software like Athenahealth or Dentrix, ensuring optimal clinic flow
    • Review and update patient records meticulously, ensuring all documentation aligns with HIPAA regulations and medical coding standards including CPT, ICD\-9, and ICD\-10
    • Communicate clearly with patients via phone and in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills at the front desk or reception area
    • Collaborate with clinical staff to prepare care plans and ensure all necessary documentation is complete for provider review
    • Maintain accurate filing of medical records, manage multi\-line phone systems, and perform clerical tasks such as data entry, typing, and filing to support smooth office operations

    • Proven experience in a medical office environment or clinic setting with strong knowledge of medical terminology and health information management
    • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or Dentrix; experience with Eaglesoft is a plus
    • Knowledge of medical billing procedures including insurance verification, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD\-9/ICD\-10\), and Medicare guidelines
    • Ability to review documentation thoroughly to ensure accuracy and completeness in compliance with HIPAA standards
    • Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and 10\-key typing skills
    • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and office management tasks
    • Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively
    • Previous experience working in dental clinics or hospital settings is advantageous
