Job Overview

As an Apartment Manager, you will be the dynamic leader of our residential community, ensuring a vibrant living environment for all residents. Your role will involve overseeing property management operations, enhancing tenant satisfaction, and maintaining the integrity of the property. You will be the go\-to person for all things related to leasing, maintenance, and resident relations, driving success through effective management and exceptional customer service.

What you’ll do

  • Manage day\-to\-day operations of the apartment community, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations and landlord\-tenant law.
  • Oversee property leasing activities, including marketing units and conducting tours to prospective tenants.
  • Facilitate conflict management and resolution among residents to foster a harmonious living environment.
  • Maintain accurate records through data entry and filing systems while utilizing property management software such as Yardi and OneSite.
  • Coordinate property maintenance requests and ensure timely completion of repairs through a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Handle administrative tasks including contract negotiations, customer relationship management, and sales strategies to enhance occupancy rates.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by addressing resident inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Implement facilities management best practices to ensure the property is well\-maintained and visually appealing.
  • Skills

  • Proven experience in property management with a strong understanding of LIHTC (Low\-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs.
  • Familiarity with Section 8 housing programs and their regulations.
  • Strong negotiation skills with experience in contracts and upselling services or amenities.
  • Excellent conflict management abilities to resolve disputes effectively.
  • Solid legal administrative experience related to landlord\-tenant law.
  • Proficient in data entry, filing, and general office tasks with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette and resident engagement.
  • Experience in real estate administrative roles or facilities management is highly desirable.
