Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Chiropractic Assistant / Receptionist to join our healthcare team. This vital role combines front desk responsibilities with clinical support, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for patients while assisting with administrative and medical tasks. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail\-oriented, and passionate about providing exceptional patient service. You will play a key role in managing appointment scheduling, patient intake, medical records, billing processes, and supporting the overall clinic operations to promote health and wellness.

Duties

  • Greet patients warmly upon arrival and collect necessary documentation during intake
  • Manage appointment scheduling using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth to optimize clinic flow
  • Answer multi\-line phone systems professionally, providing accurate information and directing calls appropriately
  • Process payments, and handle medical collections efficiently while maintaining HIPAA compliance
  • Assist with documentation review, ensuring accuracy of care plans, progress notes, and medical records in systems like eClinicalWorks or Dentrix
  • Support clinical staff by preparing treatment rooms, managing supplies, and assisting with basic administrative tasks such as filing and data entry
  • Maintain patient confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations and safeguarding sensitive health information
  • Experience

  • Prior clinic or medical office experience is highly preferred, especially within chiropractic setting
  • Proficiency in EHR systems is essential
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD\-9/10 coding (International Classification of Diseases), and medical billing practices
  • Demonstrated skills in clerical support including filing, data entry (10\-key typing), and managing multi\-line phone systems
  • Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and a friendly demeanor
