We are currently seeking well\-qualified talent to perform in a virtual work environment supporting our YNHH Urgent Care Telehealth Team. Candidates MUST reside in Connecticut to attend in\-office meetings. There are weekday and weekend shifts available.
Telehealth Medical Receptionist will answer phones, register patients for virtual visits. Primary functions include verifying insurance and ensuring that all registration paperwork is completed prior to the virtual visit. Performs other clerical and administrative tasks as required. Emulates the ideals set forth in the YNHH Urgent Care Mission Statement. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast\-paced, ever\-changing environment and is passionate about delivering a high\-quality, concierge\-style patient experience.
The role’s duties shall include, but not be limited to:
- Serve as the first point of contact for individuals seeking assistance or inquiries into available services
- Manage both audio and video inbound and outbound calls, assisting in a professional and timely manner
- Provide a high\-touch, hospitality\-driven experience while assisting and redirecting
- Register telehealth patients, ensuring accurate demographics and documentation in a timely manner
- Assist patients with scheduling and/or registering for appointments as needed
- Navigate telehealth platforms and troubleshoot basic technical issues
- Proficiency with use of EMR systems, email applications, and electronic communications systems
- Utilize messaging platforms to assist in care coordination between departments
- Collaborate remotely with team members while also working independently to manage workflows
- Adapt quickly to changing processes, priorities, and patient needs
- Maintain HIPAA compliance throughout all interactions
- Knowledge of medical terminology insurance
- Skill in obtaining and maintaining accurate records in all aspects of medical office
- Technology savvy, computer skills

Schedule Requirements:
Per diem role with open availability preferred
Availability on both weekdays and weekends
Shifts may include morning, midday, and evening hours
Minimum requirement of two shifts per month
Salary:
(Base pay) $18\.00\-$19\.00 weekdays
$2\.00 differential on weekends
