Job Summary

Bartlein \& Company, Inc., a professional property management firm in Santa Barbara, is seeking a full\-time Property Manager Assistant to support the daily administrative operations of a residential rental portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Property Manager with daily operations
  • Conduct move\-in and move\-out inspections (including multi\-level properties)
  • Enter, track, and follow up on maintenance work orders
  • Answer maintenance and repair calls; provide professional, solution\-oriented support
  • Prepare emails, notices, and other written correspondence
  • Build strong relationships with tenants, vendors, and team members
  • Post notices at properties as needed
  • Perform additional administrative and operational tasks as assigned
  • Qualifications

    Required:

  • 2\+ years of administrative office experience
  • 2\+ years using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and data entry systems
  • Valid California driver’s license
  • Reliable vehicle and current auto insurance
  • Preferred:

  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Skills

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and follow through on tasks
  • Comfortable working in a fast\-paced environment
  • Schedule

  • Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (37\.5 hours/week)
  • Occasional Saturdays (9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.), approximately every 5–6 weeks
  • Pay \& Benefits

  • Starting salary:
  • $42,900 per year

  • Compensation review after 90 days
