The Specimen Management business is seeking an Associate Director, Global Marketing to lead the Core Tubes Portfolio within the Lab Specimen Management Platform. BD is the global market leader in Specimen Management, with industry‑leading positions across blood collection, containment, and specimen acquisition.

As a senior leader on the Global Marketing team, this role has end‑to‑end strategic and commercial responsibility for the Core Tubes portfolio, including Hematology, Chemistry, Coagulation, and Specialty Tubes. The Associate Director is accountable for defining portfolio strategy, driving sustainable growth, and ensuring global commercial excellence across developed and emerging markets.

This role plays a critical leadership function in shaping long‑term portfolio direction, influencing innovation and lifecycle decisions, and aligning cross‑functional teams to deliver strong business performance. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own and lead the global strategy, performance, and lifecycle management of the Core Tubes portfolio.
  • Define portfolio vision, strategic priorities, and growth drivers across all core blood collection tube segments.
  • Provide portfolio‑level leadership across innovation planning, line extensions, rationalization, and long‑term roadmap development.
  • Partner with R\&D, Finance, Global Supply Chain, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and regional commercial leaders to drive aligned execution.
  • Lead Core Tubes global commercialization strategy, ensuring consistent positioning, value messaging, and execution excellence across regions.
  • Integrate market, customer, and competitive insights into product development, investment prioritization, and portfolio expansion decisions.
  • Serve as a senior contributor to the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, including demand shaping, scenario planning, and financial outlooks.
  • Oversee global pricing strategy and governance for the Core Tubes portfolio, including value articulation and regional alignment.
  • Direct global market research and analytics to inform forecasts, business cases, and strategic decision‑making.
  • Monitor global competitive dynamics and emerging technologies to protect and extend market leadership.
  • Ensure development of high‑impact sales enablement, training, and communication tools to support regional execution.
  • Act as a people leader and mentor, contributing to talent development and capability building within the Global Marketing organization.
  • *EXPERIENCE \& EDUCATION:*

    EDUCATION:

  • Bachelors degree in business, science, marketing, health care or similar field required
  • MBA is preferred
  • EXPERIENCE:

  • 8\+ years of progressive experience in global marketing, commercial strategy, or general management required
  • Experience in IVD, Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, or Management Consulting strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success leading large, complex portfolios in a global, matrixed organization

  • Degree level qualification; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
