Description of Work
The purpose of this position is to serve as the business coordinator for the FNS Assistant Director, Deputy Director, Program Managers of Employment and Training, SNAP\-ED, SNAP, Quality Control as well as the home\-based and non home\-based staff in the administration of the Program Operation. This position will function as the DCFW primary point of contact for contract administration, contract invoice processing and payment follow up, staff travel, and travel reimbursement entry and travel reimbursement payment follow up.
Tasks include but are not limited to:
- Coordination of key administrative support functions impacts on the management and daily operation of FNS, which includes more than 25 staff.
- Coordination of administrative tasks such as travel, purchasing, fiscal management inventory control, equipment distribution, scheduling room, submitted and tracking Technology Action Request System (TARS), composing agendas, meeting minutes, research data and materials and customer service to support this section.

This position has extensive contact with internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to County DSS, General Assembly, the Office of the Governor, Congressional staffers and members of Congress, officials of the federal and state agencies/universities, private partners, the media, consumer and families, advocacy organizations, local government officials and the public.
This position requires a thorough knowledge of office procedures, use of the personal computer, typing with accuracy and speed, using correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation. This position exercises a large degree of independence in planning and organizing work to ensure that all deadlines are met.
