ApproXie was founded by Dr. Nemil Shah, a UAB School of Medicine graduate and physician, and his wife, a Nurse Practitioner. Before founding ApproXie, Dr. Shah served as a collaborating physician for a large Alabama urgent care organization. We believe strongly in physician and advanced practice provider independence, entrepreneurship, and ownership. The Opportunity We are seeking experienced Collaborating / Supervising Physicians to provide clinical oversight for our Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants. The physician will collaborate with and supervise APPs in accordance with Alabama requirements, review medical records and quality metrics, provide clinical consultation when necessary, and help ensure our patients receive safe, evidence\-based care. This is designed to be a low\-burden, part\-time physician role that can be performed primarily remotely, subject to applicable Alabama requirements. We are interested in two types of physicians: Collaborating / Supervising Physicians who want a part\-time compensated clinical oversight role. Entrepreneurial Physicians interested in potentially becoming partners in future ApproXie clinics. For physicians interested in ownership, ApproXie can assist with capital deployment, operating infrastructure, branding, technology, management, and the operational experience necessary to launch and sustain additional clinics. Equity opportunities may be available depending on the physician, market, and individual partnership. Ownership is absolutely not required. Physicians interested only in collaboration or supervision are encouraged to apply. No traditional full\-time benefits are associated with this position. Why ApproXie? Locally owned and operated Physician and APP led No private equity ownership Established three\-clinic platform Primarily remote collaboration opportunity Long\-term partnership opportunities Potential equity in future locations for interested physicians We don't believe physicians should have to choose between practicing medicine and entrepreneurship.
