Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail\-oriented Accountant to join our finance team! In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting the organization’s financial health. Your expertise will help maintain accurate financial records, streamline accounting processes, and contribute to strategic decision\-making. Responsibilities Prepare and analyze journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment management, and collections. Utilize financial software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Workday, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, and Paychex to record transactions and generate reports. Conduct data entry with high accuracy using 10 key typing skills and Excel data analysis techniques to support financial reporting. Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), SOX (Sarbanes\-Oxley Act), governmental accounting standards, and tax regulations. Assist with month\-end and year\-end closing activities, including account analysis and audit preparation. Handle confidential information responsibly while providing excellent customer service to internal teams and external auditors. Support payroll management tasks using systems like ADP or UltiPro and assist with payroll reconciliation processes. Participate in budgeting activities, financial concept analysis, and non\-profit or public accounting projects as needed. Qualifications Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a strong understanding of accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft or similar software. Knowledge of financial concepts including debits \& credits, journal entries, double entry bookkeeping, and general ledger accounting. Familiarity with technical accounting standards such as GAAP and SOX compliance requirements. Experience with payroll systems like ADP or UltiPro is preferred. Strong numeracy skills combined with attention to detail for account reconciliation and data analysis. Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining high ethical standards. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite—especially Excel spreadsheets—for data analysis and reporting purposes.
