As part of our next stage of growth, Sirius Logistix is expanding its customer and contract portfolio and is seeking an experienced logistics sales professional who can identify, develop, negotiate, and help close profitable transportation opportunities. We are looking for someone who understands how transportation business is actually won! This is NOT a general virtual assistant, lead\-generation\-only, or appointment\-setting position. We are looking for a results\-driven business\-development professional capable of developing relationships with transportation decision\-makers and turning qualified opportunities into profitable Sirius Logistix contracts. THE OPPORTUNITY Your primary objective will be to: Find profitable logistics opportunities, develop the customer relationship, and help Sirius Logistix convert those opportunities into long\-term transportation contracts. You will focus on business development, relationship building, prospecting, opportunity qualification, proposals, and negotiations. Sirius management and operations will determine final pricing, approve contracts, and manage contract execution. Develop a qualified pipeline of logistics opportunities. Research companies that outsource delivery and transportation services. Identify appropriate transportation, procurement, logistics, and operations decision\-makers. Conduct outbound prospecting through telephone, email, LinkedIn, networking, referrals, and other approved methods. Generate your own qualified leads. Develop relationships with shippers, 3PLs, retailers, manufacturers, distributors, and other transportation buyers. Identify RFP, RFQ, bid, vendor\-registration, and contract opportunities. Assist with Sirius Logistix vendor registrations. Schedule and participate in prospective customer meetings. Qualify opportunities before involving Sirius management. Gather operational requirements including route volume, schedule, equipment, geography, insurance, staffing, service requirements, and contract terms. Coordinate with management on pricing. Assist with capability statements, proposals, RFQs, RFPs, and presentations. Participate in contract negotiations. Maintain consistent follow\-up until opportunities are won, lost, or formally closed. Maintain an accurate CRM or sales pipeline. Assist with transitioning awarded accounts to Sirius operations. Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts originated by the Business Development Partner. COMPENSATION Standard Commission 30% of Collected Gross Profit on approved qualifying new customer business originated and materially developed by you. Compensation is uncapped. Commission is based on gross profit rather than total customer revenue so that both Sirius Logistix and the Business Development Partner benefit from acquiring profitable transportation contracts. Example Customer Revenue: $5,000 per week Approved Direct Transportation Cost: $3,500 per week Gross Profit: $1,500 per week Your 30% Commission: $450 per week Potential annual commission from one similar account operating for 52 weeks: $23,400 This is an illustration only. Higher\-Earning Opportunities Experienced candidates who bring an established and verifiable book of transportation business may qualify for a higher negotiated gross\-profit split.
