Overview Join our dynamic team as an Independent Freight Broker Agent (1099\) and become a vital connector in the supply chain ecosystem! In this energetic role, you will leverage your expertise in transportation management, logistics, and sales to build strong relationships with carriers, shippers, and clients. As an independent contractor, you will have the flexibility to grow your own business while providing top\-tier freight solutions. Your proactive approach and passion for logistics will drive success in a fast\-paced environment where every shipment counts! Duties Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, shippers, and clients to generate new business opportunities through B2B sales and lead generation strategies Manage transportation planning and dispatching activities to ensure timely pickup and delivery of freight across various modes including LTL, FTL, 3PL providers, NVOCCs, and more Utilize transportation management systems (TMS), CRM software, EDI, AS400, and other logistics tools to coordinate shipments, track freight status, and optimize routes Negotiate rates, contracts, and pricing with carriers and clients to secure competitive freight solutions while maximizing profitability Oversee supply chain management processes including freight quoting, pricing adjustments, and supply chain optimization to meet customer needs Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and other relevant transportation laws during all logistics operations Perform data entry tasks related to dispatching, freight documentation, invoicing, and carrier onboarding to maintain accurate records Qualifications Proven experience in supply chain management, transportation management, or logistics sales with a focus on freight brokerage or 3PL services Strong understanding of transportation planning, carrier sales, account management, and logistics sales strategies Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), CRM software, EDI protocols, AS400 platforms, and dispatching tools Excellent negotiation skills coupled with the ability to build lasting customer relationships through effective communication and service excellence Knowledge of FDA regulations related to transportation compliance is a plus Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently including data entry, lead generation, pricing negotiations, and contract management Self\-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit eager to grow a successful independent freight brokerage business Embark on this exciting journey where your expertise fuels the movement of goods worldwide!
