Junior Technical Developer

Role Summary We are hiring a junior engineer to work across a TypeScript monorepo that powers multiple HomeLedger/HomeMinder products: Next.js web portals, an Expo React Native mobile app, an AWS Serverless API, and shared Prisma/PostgreSQL packages. This is a product engineering role for someone who can move confidently between frontend, mobile, backend, data, cloud services, integrations, testing, and production debugging. Product and Architecture Context Web apps: Pro Portal, HomeWatch, and Admin are built with Next.js App Router, React 19, Tailwind CSS 4, Radix/shadcn\-style components, Sentry, PostHog, Clerk, and Vercel deployment. Mobile app: HomeLedger mobile is built with Expo SDK 53, React Native 0\.79, Expo Router, custom development clients, EAS Build, OTA updates, and production native modules. Backend: TypeScript Serverless Framework API on AWS Lambda with API Gateway, S3, SES, SQS, EventBridge Scheduler, SSM Parameter Store, RDS, IAM, and CloudWatch. Data layer: PostgreSQL with Prisma 7, shared database package, separate Pro Portal Prisma schema, pgvector support, generated clients, migrations, and data access boundaries. Integrations: Clerk, Stripe and Stripe Connect, RevenueCat, Sentry, PostHog, HubSpot, Google Maps, AWS SES/S3, OpenAI/Anthropic APIs, Vercel AI SDK, and Momento cache. Core Responsibilities Deliver end\-to\-end product features across web, mobile, backend, database, and third\-party integrations. Build and maintain Next.js routes, server actions, API routes, forms, dashboards, billing flows, file workflows, and role\-scoped business logic. Build and maintain Expo mobile screens, navigation, auth flows, push notifications, deep links, native permissions, subscriptions, and OTA\-safe updates. Design Prisma schema changes, write migrations, generate clients, protect tenant/company scoping, and reason about query performance. Implement Lambda handlers, middleware, background jobs, scheduled workflows, queues, email delivery, file storage, and payment webhooks. Instrument Sentry/PostHog, investigate production issues, improve reliability, and keep validation targeted with lint, type checks, unit tests, and Playwright coverage.
