About us The Law Office of James McGee is a premier criminal defense firm serving clients across San Bernardino and Riverside counties. Duties Maintain a respectful, supportive, and positive attitude toward all team members. Follow internal office instructions, procedures, and workflows. Professionally answer, screen, and if needed route incoming phone calls Maintain open communication with clients and their families concerning their cases Greet clients and visitors, locate needed information, and provide it accurately and politely Organize and maintain legal files and documents Schedule appointments, meetings Perform administrative tasks, including data entry, and filing Prepare correspondence and communicate with clients Assist attorneys with anything they need to optimize office operations, manage workloads, and ensure things run smoothly Qualifications Previous experience as a receptionist, front desk clerk, or in a similar professional office setting is preferred. Law office experience is a plus, but not required Must be highly computer\-literate and comfortable navigating the internet, must be able to handle everyday computer tasks independently Proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft Office is necessary for the position Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast\-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures is preferred but not required Fluency in Spanish is prioritized As a Legal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in keeping our practice running seamlessly. You will provide vital administrative support to firm leadership by maintaining professional communication with clients, keeping files organized, and handling daily tasks to streamline office workflows. Your dependability, quick learning, and sharp attention to detail will ensure the office operates smoothly every day.
