Position Summary: The Workforce Education and Innovation (WEI) Program Assistant supports the day\-to\-day operations and implementation of the Siembra Nebraska and Adult Education programs at the Latino Center of the Midlands (LCM). This role focuses on administrative, logistical, and participant\-facing support to ensure smooth program delivery. The Program Assistant works closely with the WEI Supervisor and Coordinators to support enrollment, data entry, event logistics, and participant engagement. The ideal candidate is highly organized and dependable, community\-oriented, and excited to make a difference by implementing WEI’s purpose of strengthening Omaha’s bilingual and Latino workforce through educational initiatives and on the job training.The ideal candidate should possess the following characteristics: Enjoys supporting youth and adult learners in achieving their goals Think outside the box to overcome barriers faced by the individuals we serve and the program staff we support. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Program Support and Logistics Supports the implementation of Adult Education classes and Siembra NE program activities (Prepares lesson plans, activities and learning material for students). Support scheduling, calendar updates, and coordination of program activities. Assist Coordinators and Supervisor with ensuring program activities run smoothly. Assist with supply inventory, ordering, and organization. Support timesheet collection and basic administrative tasks as assigned. Complete additional tasks and special projects as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager. Ensures effective program implementation, operational support, participant\-facing, and logistical execution. Collaborates actively in the planning, coordination, and logistics for Adult Education classes and Siembra NE internship activities, including scheduling, room setup, and event preparation. Utilize databases to track and implement enrollment, registration, and program attendance; follow up with participants to ensure ongoing engagement. Provide program participants with critical program information. Keeps updated records, creates reports, and ensures information/data for outcomes. #### Participant Engagement \& Recruitment Assist participants with enrollment forms, orientation materials, and general program navigation. Provide participants with basic program information and refer questions to Coordinators as needed. Support participant engagement by assisting with check\-ins, attendance tracking, and follow\-up communications. Support outreach efforts by distributing materials and assisting at community events. Help prepare recruitment materials and track outreach activities. Assist Coordinators with participant follow\-up. Represent LCM at community events, school visits, and presentations to recruit youth interns and adult learners. Guide prospective participants through enrollment processes and orientation. Support goal\-setting and connection to services (e.g., job placement, ELL classes, digital literacy training). Assists with reviewing and submitting intern timecards to ensure timely processing and payment. #### Partner \& Employer Coordination Help maintain strong communication with partner organizations and employers including host meetings to ensure program alignment and facilitate problem\-solving. Assist with coordinating job placements, site visits, or field trips in collaboration with the WEI team. #### Data \& Documentation Enter and maintain participant data, attendance, and program records in databases. Assist in collecting surveys, assessments, and required documentation. Ensure files are organized, accurate, and submitted on time. .Enters and submits program data, data requests, and basic reports to the Supervisor or Manager on a timely basis. Assist with program evaluation through: testimonials, AAR, and program pre/post assessments reflections. #### Instructional and Event Support Assist with planning and coordination of program events, orientations, and workshops. Support setup, check\-in, and breakdown for events. Assist staff during workshops, training, or group activities. Support implementation of special workshops, events, or orientation days. Co\-facilitate or assist with mock interviews, resume workshops, soft skill or other workforce readiness training sessions as needed. Serve as a backup facilitator or liaison for program activities and AE classes for adult learners when staff are unavailable. Other Must have a valid driver’s license, an active insurance policy, and access to a vehicle. May be required to conduct site visits or teach AE classes on LCM property and at offsite locations. Support special projects and duties as assigned by the program Supervisor or Manager. Represent LCM with professionalism at internal and external meetings. Self\-Motivated \& Driven to Succeed \- Must be proactive with a desire to stretch beyond the task list to support the team, its programs, and the mission; mindful of deadlines and ability to problem\-solve when challenges arise. Planning/Organizing \- Prioritizes and plans work activities; uses time efficiently; plans for additional resources; sets goals and objectives. Problem\-Solving – Flexible and resourceful in supporting diverse program needs. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred. 1–2 years of experience in administrative support, program support, or customer service preferred. Experience working with youth, adult learners, or community programs. Language Bilingual in Spanish and English is required.
