Location: Newark, NJ (In\-Office) Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday \| 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM (15 paid hours/week; includes a 30\-minute unpaid lunch break) ⚠ IMPORTANT NOTE ON START DATE \& TIMING A\-Class Home Care LLC is a brand\-new home care agency. Our formal licensing and registration application has been submitted to the State of New Jersey, and we are currently awaiting our final official registration number. We are actively conducting interviews and selecting our front\-office team now so we are fully staffed for our launch. The official start date and first day of paid work for this position is tentative and contingent upon the state issuing our final operating approval (estimated within the coming weeks). Job Summary A\-Class Home Care LLC is seeking an organized, highly dependable Part\-Time Front Desk \& Compliance Assistant to manage our Newark office reception and support our caregiver onboarding operations. This role is ideal for a detail\-oriented individual looking for a stable, consistent daytime schedule. As the face and voice of our office during our busiest morning hours, you will manage incoming communications via our desktop phone system, assist visitors, and actively manage our caregiver hiring checklists to ensure full compliance with New Jersey state licensing standards once operations begin. Core Responsibilities Front Desk \& Communications: Greet visitors, clients, and clinical staff professionally. Manage the office phone lines using a computer\-based desktop application—answering inquiries, taking detailed messages, and routing calls to agency leadership. Hiring Process \& Checklist Management: Own the administrative side of the caregiver hiring process. Hand out application packets, guide applicants through state compliance paperwork, and systematically check off required onboarding items. Compliance Verification: Collect, review for completeness, and track required documents for new hires, including active professional licenses (CHHA, RN, LPN), employment eligibility (I\-9\), medical clearances (physical exams/TB screening), and background check/fingerprint confirmations. Audit\-Ready Record Keeping: Organize, scan, and maintain digital and physical personnel files in strict accordance with agency policies and New Jersey state regulations. Office Administration: Assist leadership with basic data entry, manage incoming/outgoing mail, monitor front\-office supplies, and maintain a clean, professional reception area. Qualifications \& Skills Experience: Prior experience working as a receptionist or administrative assistant in a Home Health Aide (HHA) agency or Home Care company is highly preferred. High school diploma or equivalent. High Attention to Detail: Ability to meticulously follow checklists and easily spot missing signatures, dates, or documents. Strong verbal communication skills and a professional, welcoming telephone presence. Basic computer proficiency (experience with email, scanning, and Microsoft Word/Excel or Google Workspace). Exceptional reliability and strict punctuality for the 9:00 AM start time. Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality regarding employee personal and medical records. What We Offer Competitive Hourly Wage: $17\-$20\.00/hour BOE. Consistent, Desirable Schedule: Fixed mid\-day hours (M/W/F, 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM) with no nights, no weekends, and no early mornings. Professional Environment: Work out of a clean, structured commercial office space.
