Friends of Karen, a non profit organization based in North Salem NY, is seeking a Database Assistant to provide vital data support to our Family Support Services and Fund Development teams. This full\-time (40 hours/week) role is essential for maintaining the integrity of our constituent data and ensuring timely communication with our donors and internal stakeholders.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Database Management: Oversee gift processing and track donations, including open pledges, within the Raiser’s Edge NXT database.
* Donor Stewardship: Process donation acknowledgments and respond to donor inquiries via phone and email with professionalism and warmth.
* Reporting \& Analysis: Generate daily, monthly, and ad hoc reports using the ETO (Social Solutions) database to support the Family Support Team’s operations.
* Data Integrity: Regularly verify and update constituent records using tools like Address Finder and Constant Contact; manage returned mail and email opt\-outs to ensure high\-quality communication channels.
* Financial Collaboration: Work closely with the Finance team to ensure accurate gift entry and lead data collection for annual financial audits regarding in\-kind and major gifts.
* Revenue Growth: Partner with the Director of Technology Operations to process matching gifts and identify opportunities to expand workplace giving.
* Team Support: Assist with special department projects, including mass mailings and general administrative tasks as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience: 1–3 years in nonprofit administration, fundraising, development, or a related data\-centric role.
* Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of Blackbaud RE NXT and Bonterra ETO (or similar CRMs) is highly preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
* Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional and courteous telephone manner.
* Soft Skills: Proven ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work effectively both independently and as part of a cross\-functional team.
