We are looking for an Engineering Lead to support a 24x7x365 operational environment that delivers integrated space, cyber, and network intelligence for an IC customer. This Engineering Lead will apply broad knowledge of systems engineering, orbital mechanics, and satellite operations to design and advance solutions to current customer challenges. The Engineering Lead will focus on the quality and currency of the techniques, procedures, and tools available to the mission.
The selected Engineering Lead will work together with program leadership to support the contract overall and develop/deliver solutions that ensure we are performing safely, at the requisite level of quality, on schedule, and on cost.
As the Engineering Lead, you will:
- Lead a diverse team of intelligence professionals supporting a 24x7x365 operational environment with a focus on Operations Integration, Collection Management, and Mission Management
- Provide engineering oversight of program operations ensuring all mission needs are met
- Deliver technical and managerial expertise to drive team delivery in support of engineering goals and requirements
- Deliver engineering solutions to support mission systems delivering analytics, modeling \& simulation, intelligence products, and database management
- Support Systems Engineering and Integration activities to include providing operations integration, configuration management, risk/issue/opportunity management, and lifecycle readiness of mission systems.
- Support vulnerability testing of individual systems to include development of project plans, coordination and execution, and delivery of testing results
- Deliver technical support to assist with the transition to operations of new hardware/software
- Facilitate TEMs for delivering relevant new functionality and capabilities in support of mission
- Provide technical briefings and outreach
- Ensure appropriate technical and resource needs are met to deliver operational support during both normal operations and surge support
- Deliver process improvement efforts to optimize operational efficiency, improve accuracy, streamline task execution, improve timeliness, and enhance the overall quality of outputs delivered by the team.
- Support delivery of CDRL documentation, including PMR, MSR, and other customer status updates.
- Master’s degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Optics, or other relevant technical field as well as 11 years of relevant experience with demonstrated expertise; OR Bachelor’s degree Physics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Optics, or other relevant technical field as well as 12 years of relevant experience with demonstrated expertise
- At least 7 years of combined experience with orbital mechanics, including collision avoidance and/or satellite operations analysis
- At least 3 years of customer specific systems engineering processing, including vulnerability analysis and/or orbit analysis.
- At least 5 years of experience with this customer
- Familiarity with DoD satellite operations
- Ability to represent the team and deliver status reports to internal and external leadership.
- Excellent organizational and follow through skills.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) skills.
- Detail oriented with problem\-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office

Pay Information
Full\-Time Salary Range: $153377 \- $260743
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
