Primary Role: You will be responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, managing, organizing, and retrieving stock and materials. In addition, you may assist our drivers on the road with residential and business deliveries.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and track shipments
- Load and unload merchandise in delivery trucks using appropriate tools and equipment
- Accommodate and carefully handle fragile merchandise
- Track and document exact shipment arrival and departure times
- Tag and label merchandise
- Label and stockpile merchandise according to size, shape, and type
- Box, wrap and pack merchandise in accordance with relevant procedures and standards
- Prepare all orders for shipment
- Record and manage all impaired or damaged merchandise items
- Enter data in inventory and logistics software programs
- Assist our drivers with residential and business deliveries as needed
- Other duties as needed
- Previous working experience in a warehouse environment
- Hands on experience with inventory and logistics software programs
- Good organizational and time\-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Fluent in English
- Able to pass background and drug screening
- Must be able to lift over 50lbs
- Great physical stamina and manual dexterity to handle a fast\-paced environment
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Warehouse Worker
- Forklift Operation and DOT certification
- Physical requirements include the ability to sit and stand for several hours at a time, walk, reach, bend, stoop, stretch, lift, push, transport, and move up to 50 pounds and to talk and hear.
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity are needed to operate normal office equipment, such as a computer, telephone and copier. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Work is performed in a warehouse environment and involves frequent contact with customers, vendors, employees, and the public
- Some weekend and evening hours may be required
