Join our dynamic team as an Accounting Assistant, where you will perform accounting functions primarily related to data entry tasks utilizing QuickBooks Pro, handle banking deposits and payments, and accounts payable.

Core Functions:
- Conduct routine data entry management for accounting records including accounts payable, billing, and accounts receivable utilizing QuickBooks Pro.
- Review and verify billing statements and invoices for accuracy; alerts supervisory staff of any discrepancies.
- Forwards checks to vendors for products and services rendered.
- Issue, post, and mail computer generated checks.
- Handle bank deposits.
- Handle and store accounting documents.
- Day\-to\-day liaison with other offices.
- May assist with answering telephones and other clerical tasks as needed.
- Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures (GAAP).
- Required to participate in cross\-training coworkers in order to ensure improved efficiency and business continuity.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Support month\-end and year\-end closing activities, including balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger account analysis.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate records of financial transactions following GAAP standards.
- Help perform account reconciliation tasks to ensure accuracy across the company's financial statements.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associates and/or Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
- Intermediate proficiency with QuickBooks Pro Online and Microsoft Office Suite required. Expert level with QuickBooksPro Online and Microsoft Excel preferred.
- 2 to 3 years hands\-on experience in QuickBooks Pro Online accounting software required.
- Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting required.
- Practical knowledge of three main ways of entering data into QuickBooks Pro (Forms/Lists/Registers).
- Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Post bank deposits, print checks, and draw month\-end reconciliations.
- Good math skills combined with analytical thinking for account analysis and financial reporting tasks.
