We are looking for an Affiliate Services Coordinator to join the Strategic Communications \& Member Engagement Department. This position will work across multiple departments within the League to coordinate the administration of services provided to our affiliate membership organizations. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Strategic Communication and Member Engagement. Duties include:
Affiliate Services Administration
- Oversee the agreement process –communicating directly with affiliate boards to determine needs and identify opportunities for the affiliate organization and League to work together.
- Services tracking – monitor services provided to each affiliate, working across departments and with liaisons to ensure accuracy.
- Membership renewal process – oversee the membership renewal process, including monitoring membership inquiries, updating database rosters, etc.
- Coordinate closely with affiliate liaisons to ensure affiliate work is completed accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate and execute tasks associated with NCLM affiliate organizations, including working with affiliate liaisons to identify affiliate meeting dates/times, agendas and materials preparation, calendar updates, etc.
- Prepare member emails/newsletters, etc. for affiliates as needed
- Work with the League’s Event Planning staff to assist with tasks related to affiliate events, including collecting/providing information about programming, registration needs, sponsorship, member outreach, on\-site event support, etc.
- Work with the liaisons to educate affiliate boards about services available, processes, agreements, best practices, etc.
- Fulfills other duties as needed to ensure affiliate organizations are receiving the benefits outlined in their affiliate agreements and ensures that the League is receiving payment as contracted.
- Works closely with the liaison to foster a positive relationship between the League and the affiliate organization. Maintains a professional attitude with affiliate projects/needs.
- Respond to affiliate member inquiries and identify solutions at both the individual and board level alongside liaisons.
- Troubleshoots technical issues related to website login, event registration, CRM updating, and other technical assistance.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude when providing member assistance.
- Listens attentively and respectfully during affiliate board meetings and other meetings. Identifies and suggests ways to increase member satisfaction.

Qualifications of Ideal Candidate
Four\-year degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, and/or other related degrees. Two to five or more years of experience. An understanding of local government in North Carolina is a plus.
