Job Title: Bookkeeper / Property Management Coordinator

Location: New York, NY (Full\-Time, In\-Office)

Overview

We are a disciplined, detail\-driven real estate management group seeking a Bookkeeper / Property Management Coordinator to join our team full\-time in\-office in Manhattan.

This is not a passive or siloed role. You will be responsible for maintaining clean, accurate books while also supporting the day\-to\-day operations of a modern, professionally managed residential building.

The right candidate is organized, responsive, and takes ownership—someone who keeps things current without being chased and handles issues directly and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting \& Financial Operations

  • Manage day\-to\-day bookkeeping using
  • QuickBooks

  • Perform
  • bank and credit card reconciliations (monthly, without backlog)

  • Maintain accurate general ledger (journal entries, debits/credits)
  • Process
  • accounts payable (vendor invoices, approvals, payments)

  • Assist with
  • payroll processing

  • Keep financial records clean, current, and audit\-ready at all times
  • Property Operations \& Coordination

  • Respond to tenant inquiries in a
  • clear, professional, and timely manner

  • Coordinate with vendors (maintenance, utilities, inspections, etc.)
  • Track and follow up on operational items so nothing falls through the cracks
  • Support the day\-to\-day operations of a
  • high\-functioning residential property

    Qualifications

  • Proficiency in
  • QuickBooks (required)

  • Strong understanding of
  • double\-entry bookkeeping and core accounting principles

  • Experience with
  • bank reconciliations and general ledger management

  • Prior experience in
  • real estate or property management preferred

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Professional, composed communicator (written and verbal)
