Job Title: Payroll Data Entry Specialist

The role of the Payroll Data Entry Specialist is to ensure the accurate and timely entry of data related to payroll processing and reporting. This position provides an entry\-level opportunity to assist with payroll processing of simple batches with the opportunity to grow into a payroll specialist role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Data entry of client payroll information ensuring accuracy and timeliness according to payroll processing schedule.
- Utilizes payroll systems to enter payroll and related data.
- Verifies new direct deposit information, including rapid pay cards are entered correctly into payroll system.
- May process simple payrolls.
- May assist payroll specialists in researching records and verifications.
- Assists in preparing and sending out invoices.
- Involved in preparing statements of cash flow, Activity Reports, on a weekly basis for all clients.
- Regular communication with payroll specialists and managers to coordinate data entry and invoicing activities.
- Performs other duties as requested.
- High school diploma or G.E.D and less than one year of related training and experience
- Associates degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

Competencies:
Education and/or Experience
A minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); and less than one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 2\-year degree helpful
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as employee time sheets and payroll and accounting related reports. Ability to speak effectively within the team and organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
