- Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Prepare and process journal entries if trained, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliations
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation tasks in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Support payroll processing and tax\-related activities, ensuring compliance with governmental regulations
- Generate financial reports, including budgeting analysis and account analysis for management review
- Manage administrative tasks such as data entry (including 10 key typing), document filing, correspondence, and scheduling
- Conduct detailed account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities in financial data
- Assist with governmental accounting requirements and non\-profit accounting procedures when applicable
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping, debits \& credits, and journal entries
- Knowledge of financial concepts including budgeting, account reconciliation, and general ledger management
- Experience with bank reconciliation and account analysis for accurate financial reporting
- Familiarity with governmental accounting standards and non\-profit accounting practices is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Strong communication skills for financial report writing and collaboration with team members
- Attention to detail in performing balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting tasks
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a proactive approach to problem\-solving
