Housing and Community Development Department, Tenant Advocacy Division
Location: 414 E. 12th St.
Pay: $20\.48–$30\.71 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities
What you’ll do
* Respond to tenant concerns by phone, email, and mail, documenting cases and guiding residents through housing complaints and rights protections so issues are addressed fairly and efficiently.
* Coordinate enforcement efforts with Healthy Homes, city departments, and external agencies to hold property owners accountable and ensure housing laws are followed.
* Support tenant organizing and rights protections by assisting with processes such as union recognition, collective bargaining, and tenant\-led initiatives that strengthen housing stability.
* Conduct on\-site tenant outreach to share educational materials, connect residents to city programs, and link tenants to legal and support resources when they need them most.
* Analyze housing trends and violations by tracking data related to tenant rights, evictions, and fair housing issues to inform policy, prevention, and enforcement efforts.
* Provide calm, solutions\-focused support during high\-stress situations, helping tenants navigate crises with clear communication and practical next steps.
