We don't operate like a traditional marketing agency. Our Marketers (specializing in paid advertising) work directly and independently with clients \- and that's exactly what makes our model work. We're lean, fast\-moving, and hold ourselves to a high standard across everything we do.

The Role

This is not a traditional account management role. At Unicorn Marketers, our media buyers are the primary point of contact for clients \- they own the day\-to\-day relationship, the performance conversations, and the ongoing communication. What we need is someone who steps in when things come back to us.

As we scale toward 100\+ active clients, we need a Client Success \& Operations Manager who can triage effectively, handle friction points professionally, and keep things moving without pulling in leadership every time something comes up. That means owning contracts and billing questions directly, working alongside head of finance and marketers to resolve escalations, and turning satisfied clients into testimonials and referral opportunities.

Responsibilities

Client Success \& Escalation Management

* Important Reminder: This is not a traditional account management role. At Unicorn Marketers, our media buyers are the primary point of contact for clients \- they own the day\-to\-day relationship, the performance conversations, and the ongoing communication. What we need is someone who steps in when things come back to us.

  • Serve as the Unicorn Marketers' point of contact when client concerns or issues come back to our team.
  • Triage incoming issues \- handle billing, contract, and administrative questions directly
  • Work alongside the marketer or head of finance to resolve performance or relationship issues when they escalate
  • Facilitate resolution calls between clients and marketers
  • when needed

  • Connect with the COO to coordinate rematches when a client and marketer are not the right fit
  • Monitor at\-risk accounts and flag potential issues before they escalate further
  • Identify upsell opportunities and connect satisfied clients with relevant internal/partner services and affiliate opportunities
  • Contracts \& Agreements (with AI Support)

  • Send and manage client agreements (typically you’re working from the same template with minor tweaks depending on client requests).
  • Manage company contracts \- both evergreen templates and updates for specific client situations
  • Rapidly handle back and forth on terms with potential clients on agreements
  • Admin \& Operations

  • Slack channel coordination between clients and talent as relationships are established or updated
  • Monitor comms at a high level to ensure reporting and communication are happening through Slack
  • Keep internal tracking systems updated
  • Backup billing support (second set of eyes to make sure marketers are submitting invoices on time and clients are paying on time).
  • Testimonials \& Reviews

  • Collect video testimonials from clients
  • Request and follow up for reviews on Google, Trustpilot, and BBB
  • Community \& Culture (This is a team effort)

  • Slack community/event management and proactive engagement for the marketer talent pool
  • Coordinate culture\-building events and activities as the team scales
  • Who You Are

  • Ideally strong experience in basic contracts and invoicing.
  • Background in account management or client success at a marketing or digital agency \- you understand how performance\-based client relationships work
  • Naturally calm under pressure \- you de\-escalate frustrated clients without matching their energy
  • Strong written communicator \- fast, clear, and warm without being overly formal
  • Proactive by default \- you follow up without being reminded and spot problems before they become bigger ones
  • Comfortable with AI tools and use them daily to move faster and work smarter
  • Organized and detail\-oriented \- you can manage contracts, open issues, and multiple client situations simultaneously without things slipping
  • You take ownership and don't need to be closely managed
  • Experience in a fast\-moving, fully remote environment
