Full Life Medical is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part\-Time Pediatric Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support in a clinical setting. This role requires a proactive approach to enhance patient experiences and improve overall satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Completion of an approved training program with successful passage of the medical assistant examination administered by a certifying organization accredited by either the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute as described by the Arizona Administrative Code (Chapter 16 – Arizona Medical Board \- R4\-16\-401 and R4\-16\-101\) Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Fingerprint Clearance Card: Must have a current Fingerprint Clearance Card or apply and be eligible for one within seven (7\) working days after employment (Pediatric Behavioral Health Sites ONLY) Required
- Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure they are comfortable
- Maintain clean, neat, and well\-stocked exam rooms
- Provide quality phone service by scheduling patients or referring callers to the appropriate party
- Promptly answer phone messages from patients
- Maintain accurate patient information and ensure charts/paperwork are filed correctly
- Maintain medical records in an organized manner
- Under the direction of a Physician, perform various duties related to the examination and treatment of patients
- Take a proactive approach utilizing available resources to best serve the patient population
- Perform a variety of clerical support duties including receptionist tasks, telephone handling, scheduling, message management, and data input
- Work in a team model to improve patient experience, enhance communication, and support processes that will increase patient satisfaction
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Escort patients to the examining room, obtain a brief history, document the chief complaint, and take vital signs including weight and temperature
- Prep patients for exams and assist the physician/clinician during exams and special procedures
- Assist in physical exam components, TB testing, injections, phlebotomy, immunizations and other procedures
- Administer and record injections and TB testing under physician supervision
- Conduct office procedures such as PFT, UDS, EBT, EKG, IV set up for hydration/supplement infusion, fit testing within the scope of practice as directed by the provider
- Receive and document telephone calls from patients, pharmacies, and others; relay information to providers for action
