Job Summary: Creates and facilitates Afterschool Programs that are safe, organized, fun, and educational. Steps in for Site Coordinator when absent. Supports all site operations and teamwork to meet A World Fit For Kids!’ mission of “Preparing Young People For Fit and Fulfilling Lives” through Moving, Modeling, and Mentoring.
Essential Functions:
- Create weekly lesson plans that align with program goals and themes
- Support and implement daily lesson plans, activities, special events and field trips
- Participate in staff development activities
- Facilitates end\-of\-year performances
- Monitors gate entry/exit of students being dropped off and picked up
- Provide a safe and supportive environment that promotes students' physical and emotional wellbeing
- Clean and maintain all spaces used by the organization
- Must be able to work at least 85% (153 days) of the180 day school year schedule
- Must report to headquarters as needed
- Work location may be re\-assigned based on organization's needs
- Steps in for Site Coordinator when absent
- Assists with staff training and development
- Attends regular staff meetings and other trainings
- Maintains daily attendance records and submits documentation daily
- Assist with Attendance Reconciliation to meet daily, weekly, monthly, etc. deadlines
- Builds relationships with youth, parents, and school personnel
- Supports community/school meetings and events
- Responsible for the upkeep of organizational issued equipment and replacement or repairs for improper/negligent usage
- At least 2 years of experience working with young people
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate at different levels in a professional manner
- Ability to listen carefully and report collectively
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and facilitate activities
- Energetic, ambitious, goal oriented, creative, relationship building skills
- Ability to step into leadership and train staff
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- General data entry and word processing with Microsoft software/applications
- Proficiency in Spanish a plus

All newly staffed positions are subject to a ninety (90\) day Introductory Period with 30\-60\-90\-day evaluations.

High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework desired with course(s) in education,
child development, physical education, recreation, or related field.
Experience working with children ages 5\-17 is required
Experience implementing expanded learning/out of school time educational enrichment activities is a plus
