Position Overview:
We're looking for an experienced Compensation Professional to bring a consultative, nimble approach to support compensation strategies across our enterprise, including regional business units and national service lines. This role requires a strong understanding of compensation theory and practice, along with the ability to evaluate both executive and non\-executive positions, ideally including variable compensation plans involving STI/LTI/equity.
Responsibilities:
You'll be asked to:
- Assess and analyze collected wage and salary data to support compensation planning and decision making.
- Partner with management to determine the type, scope, and objectives of compensation analyses.
- Evaluate executive and non\-executive roles to ensure appropriate classification and pay alignment.
- Prepare detailed reports, analyses, organizational charts, and workflow diagrams.
- Study and interpret current organizational wage and salary structures, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Collect and analyze occupational data, including physical, mental, and training requirements of various roles.
- Develop and maintain job descriptions, job specifications, and career progression frameworks.
- Audit existing salary structures and position classifications; recommend adjustments as needed.
- Review wage and salary changes to ensure compliance with organizational policies and guidelines.
- Utilize compensation and workforce data to enhance recruiting, selection, promotion, evaluation, and training practices.
- Collaborate with other analysts and supervisors to complete assigned projects and initiatives.
- Use analytical tools and systems to manage, interpret, and present compensation data.
- Conduct job observations and interviews with employees and supervisors to gather role\-specific insights when necessary
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional\-level experience in compensation analysis or a related HR function.
- Strong understanding of compensation principles, job evaluation methodologies, and market pricing.
- Proficiency with analytical tools, spreadsheets, and HRIS systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem\-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience crafting executive compensation (including LTI \& equity).
- Experience using World At Work, ERI (Economic Research Institute) or similar compensation \& salary survey tools.
- Experience with Paycom HRIS.
- This position does not require regular travel as part of its primary responsibilities. However, occasional travel may be required, up to 20%, primarily for occasional off\-site meetings, training sessions, or company events. Travel, when necessary, will be communicated in advance and aligned with business needs.
- This position primarily operates in a professional office environment, requiring the ability to work at a desk for extended periods while using a computer, phone, and standard office equipment.
- The position involves sitting for extended periods, performing data entry, and engaging in frequent communication via email, phone, and in\-person interactions.
- The role involves regular communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders, both in person and through virtual platforms.
- The physical demands of the job may include occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting of office materials up to 15 pounds.
