Overview:

Assists pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications to patients; interacts with patients providing information and education on their prescriptions through completion of sales transactions. Pharmacy Assistant salary range: $17\-$19\.50 DOE with ability to go higher for highly experienced candidates.

Responsibilities:

1\. Responsible for dispending medication to patients.

2\. Responsible for maintaining cash drawer and associated documents according to CBHA cash handling guidelines.

3\. Responsible for proper handling and storage of medication.

4\. Responsible for processing medication refill requests.

5\. Responsible for daily administrative and clerical support.

6\. Other duties as assigned.

7\. Promotes a positive work culture and upholds clinic policies and procedures, including the WE CARE Standards of Behavior.

8\. Must uphold confidentiality at all times in regards to CBHA activities, reports, financials, patient health information and other proprietary information specific to CBHA.

Qualifications:

Professional and Technical Knowledge:

Possesses a basic level of written and verbal communication skills, computational and computer skills and mathematical knowledge typically acquired through completion of a high school program. License and Certification:

Ability to possess an active Pharmacy Assistant License from the State of Washington. Communication Skills

  • Job duties require the effective communication of information during informal and formal verbal presentations.

  • Possesses the ability to successfully form, foster, and improve relationships with members of a culture different from one’s own.
  • Communicates in a clear and effective manner.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and translating both English and Spanish.

    In\-house credit of $1,300 annual maximum for services provided at CBHA dental clinic. $35 copay is waived for preventative services.* Vision – CBHA In\-House Credit

    In house credit includes for one eye exam every plan year. $200 hardware credit for employee and dependents for prescription hardware (glasses, contacts, prescription sunglasses). Employees and dependents also receive one additional hardware credit per year at CBHA’s cost \+ 20% (used for non\-prescription sunglasses, contact lenses, or a second pair of prescription glasses). $35 copay is waived for preventative services Flexible Spending Account Life Insurance Accidental Death \& Dismemberment Life Insurance Policy Long Term Disability Emergency Medical Transport Benefits\- Life Flight Network 403 (b) Retirement Plan:

    Safe Harbor Match: Employees are eligible to receive a Safe Harbor Match of 100% up to 4% of the employee’s total salary. Employee is full vested in Safe Harbor Match from day 1\. Contributions are subject to IRS guidelines.

    Non\-Elective Contribution\- Provided the employee has met enrollment qualifications, employee will also receive 4% employer contribution of employee’s total salary at the end of the Plan Year at the discretion of Board of Directors.

    Vacation (Personal Leave):

    Year 1

    40 hours front loaded after six (6\) months of employment. Accrue at the rate of .0038per hour paid not to exceed a per pay period accrual of .3076 hours for the rest of year one (1\). Vacation buyout paid hours are excluded from accrual Year 2

    Accrue at the rate of .0442 per hour paid not to exceed a per pay period accrual of 3\.53hours. Vacation buyout paid hours are excluded from accrual. Year 3

    Accrue at the rate of .5576 per hour paid not to exceed a per pay period accrual of 4\.46 hours. Vacation buyout paid hours

    All employees receive 8 vacation hours for a Wellness Day on their Anniversary Date each year. Holidays:The following holidays are observed and paid by CBHA:

    New Year’s Day

    Memorial Day

    Independence Day

    Labor Day

    Thanksgiving Day

    Day after Thanksgiving

    Christmas Day

    \\Martin Luther King Jr. Day \& President’s Day are considered floating holidays and are used at employee’s discretion.Educational Reimbursement Program Employee Assistant Program:

    EAP services are available to solve a wide range of concerns for employees. This program is confidential and covers employees, spouses, domestic partners and children up to 26 years of age.
