SALARY: $16\.00 per hour
SCHEDULE: Monday \& Wednesday 6:30am to 4:30pm, Tuesday 6:30am to 3:30pm \- 29 hours per week
SUMMARY
Must have excellent customer service skills. Performs routine clerical and data entry duties as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs receptionist duties for Public Works Service Center building.
- Performs dispatch duties using two\-way radio to communicate with employees in the field; relays information to supervision as required.
- Monitors confined space entry to ensure employee safety.
- Receives and distributes incoming mail.
- Monitors CRM service requests for departments and updates service call status.
- Maintains departmental information in City Works asset management program.
- Types/edits correspondence, creates spreadsheets and reports as directed.
- Assumes additional duties as assigned by management.
- Strong customer service and problem\-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of computers and office procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships.
- Ability to work independently.
KNOWLEDGE
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma.
EQUIPMENT
Telephone, computer, copier, fax machine, 10\-key calculator, base radio and typewriter.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Employee frequently sits, talks, hears, and occasionally walks, handles objects, reaches, and lifts up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision and focus adjustment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Quiet private office or moderate noise from computers and printers.
