How you'll contribute
A Receptionist who excels in this role:
- Is responsible for providing general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks.
- Responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls appropriately, registering patients, collecting co\-pays, directing and scheduling patients and visitors, acting as a liaison between patients and medical support staff, as well as assisting patients with check out.
- Responsible for the management of medical records and coordination with others both within and outside the organization and to assure that records are complete and accurate.
- These duties facilitate the sharing of medical records with other HIPAA compliant providers and organizations.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent Preferred
- One year experience working in customer service.
- Preferred: One year experience in medical office setting
- Prior knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of Athena or similar EHR preferred
