Summary: The Direct Procurement Intern – Data \& Strategic Sourcing will support Trident’s Packaging and Ingredients procurement teams by organizing and analyzing data, developing dashboards and reports, and assisting with strategic sourcing initiatives.

This role offers hands\-on experience supporting cost\-savings initiatives, sustainability reporting (EPR), supplier performance management, and process improvement efforts. The intern will work closely with buyers, engineers, and procurement leadership to improve data visibility and help standardize tools and processes across the Direct Procurement organization. This summer internship is expected to last between 3 months (i.e., 12 weeks). Working hours per week for this opportunity are anticipated to be between 15 to 20 hours.

Essential Functions:

  • Organize, validate, and maintain data related to packaging and ingredient materials
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports supporting EPR reporting, spend visibility, and supplier KPIs
  • Support packaging and ingredient productivity projects by analyzing cost drivers and supplier data
  • Assist with tracking and documentation of cost\-savings initiatives
  • Support vendor scorecard implementation and supplier performance reporting
  • Assist with RFP process support and automation
  • Develop standardized templates and documentation
  • Collaborate with cross\-functional partners
  • Other duties as assigned

    Compensation \& Benefits:

    This is a non\-exempt position with an hourly pay rate range of $21 to $25 per hour.

    Minimum Requirements

    Required Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Engineering, Finance, or related field
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Excel; Power BI experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Interest in procurement or supply chain

Work Environment:

This is an on\-site position based at the Trident Support Center office in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.

In\-office time takes place in a typical office environment: temperature controlled with adequate lighting and moderate noise. While remote, employees must provide appropriate home office space.

Physical demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch. May occasionally lift to 15 lbs.
