This position reports to the Director of Finance, but has responsibilities to all GridSME team members, managers, Directors, Practice Leads, and CEOs. GridSME is a growing company, and you may be asked to assist with other projects in addition to your regular job responsibilities.*What is the C.O.R.R.E. Team?*

    • ### JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

      * Month\-End Close Process:

      + Execute the month\-end financial close and financial reporting process

    • Perform the month\-end financial close procedures for GridSME and GridSecurity by following the SOP work instruction documents and learning from the provided training. Always looking for opportunities to improve the month\-end close process, financial documentation, and reporting.
    • Oversee the monthly bank account and credit card account reconciliation process with our outside bookkeeper and AP Specialist.
    • Lead the monthly revenue recognition and revenue completeness review processes, create and manage the associated revenue workpapers, and interface/collaborate with the Practice Leads and project managers to collect input data.
    • Calculate Independent Consultant (IndCon) payments and oversee the distribution of those calculations to the IndCons.
    • Create the monthly GridSME\-GridSecurity Shared Services invoice and account for all intercompany transactions.
    • Calculate, report, distribute, and process GridSME and GridSecurity's Profit\-Sharing Bonus Program calculations.
    • Complete month\-end procedures and present draft financial statements and analysis to the Director of Finance by BD5 for further review and analysis.

* Tax Filings and Compliance:

+ Assist with recurring state, federal, and international tax record\-keeping, compliance, and reporting.

+ Work closely with procurement and business development team members, as well as outside vendors, to ensure compliance with sales tax requirements.

* Various Other Duties:

+ Assist with ad\-hoc projects related to business and/or project financials.

+ Maintain a GridSME and GridSecurity chart of accounts to assist your department’s staff in accurately recording financial statement transactions.

### COMPENSATION

The base pay range for this part\-time position is $30\-$50 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.### PAYROLL SCHEDULE

Pay is on the 7th (for the 16th to the end of the month) and the 22nd (for the 1st to the 15th) of each month. In addition to recurring payroll, a third monthly paycheck is earned via our Monthly Profit\-Sharing Bonus Plan at the end of each month.### 401K PLAN AND COMPANY MATCH

GridSME offers a 401(k) retirement savings program. GridSME will match all employee 401(k) contributions up to 6% of your gross cash compensation (salary and bonuses). Employee and employer contributions begin on the first calendar day of the employee's second calendar month of service. Employer 401(k) match contributions vest immediately. For example, if the employee starts on June 15th, the employee will be eligible to participate in the 401(k) program and receive a company match effective with the payroll period beginning August 1st.### FLEXIBLE WORK LOCATION

This is a remote role with a flexible work location. You are welcome to work from your home office or GridSME’s Folsom office, depending on your needs and preference. Periodic travel may be requested for client site visits, internal/external meetings at our Folsom office or other locations, trainings, industry events, and other business functions.### WORK SCHEDULE

This part\-time role is structured to support the month\-end financial close process, with most hours worked during the first ten (10\) days of each month. The position is expected to average 16–24 hours per week, with flexibility aligned to business needs during peak month\-end close periods.### EVALUATION PERIOD

The first ninety (90\) days of your employment will be treated as an evaluation period when we assess your performance and fit with our culture. At the end of this 90\-day evaluation period, we will hold a performance review session to discuss your performance against the job requirements and expectations. If your performance does not meet those requirements and expectations, we reserve the right to end your employment.### WORK SAMPLE EXERCISES (Application Requirement)**

As part of your application, you are required to complete the attached work samples and submit your solutions along with your application. These exercises are designed to assess your ability to apply core accounting concepts, specifically revenue recognition and financial analysis. Submission of these completed work samples is required for your application to be considered. Applications submitted without the completed exercises will not be reviewed. Review, edit, and submit the provided Pivot Table Exercise and Revenue Recognition Exercise attachments.
