Overview

We are seeking a detail\-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper/Office Assistant to join our team. Construction experience required. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial health and operational efficiency of our organization. You will be responsible for managing essential bookkeeping tasks, supporting office administration, and ensuring accurate financial recordkeeping using QuickBooks. Your energetic approach and meticulous attention to detail will help keep our financial processes smooth and compliant with industry standards.

Duties

  • Maintain accurate financial records through daily bookkeeping activities, including data entry and transaction categorization using QuickBooks.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account analysis to ensure all accounts are balanced and discrepancies are promptly resolved.
  • Prepare and process journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll transactions and commission with precision.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements,.
  • Conduct detailed account reconciliations, including bank statement matching and general ledger reconciliation, to maintain data integrity.
  • Support governmental accounting requirements and tax\-related documentation by maintaining organized records and assisting with filings.
  • Manage office administrative tasks such as correspondence, filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and scheduling.
  • Prepare Lien Waivers.
  • Requirements

  • Proven experience with QuickBooks.
  • Strong understanding of Construction accounting principles, including debits \& credits, journal entries, and general ledger management.
  • Ability to perform bank reconciliations, account analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, and account reconciliation efficiently.
  • Experience in payroll processing and accounts payable/receivable management.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; proficiency in 10 key typing essential.
  • Strong communication skills for preparing financial reports and collaborating across teams.
