- Places and releases Credit Union liens on titles used as loan collateral.
- Checks titles to ensure that members have recorded current Credit Union lien information and correct personal data.
- Sends out\-of\-state titles to corresponding state offices for processing Credit Union liens.
- Checks titles and liens for correct and complete information and ships out\-of\-state titles weekly.
- Receives member telephone calls regarding liens and titles; Sends titles to the DMV for name changes as requested.
- Adds titles to the Suspense File; Ensures that titles are processed and sent out when the suspense date expires.
- Checks FDI collateral manager for electronic titling and works reports from there weekly.
POSITION PURPOSE
Responsible for performing title suspense and processing functions in accordance with specific state regulations; Placing liens on titles used as collateral for loans; Sending out\-of\-state titles to corresponding state offices for processing with Credit Union liens; Answering questions from both members and Credit Union personnel regarding title processing and regulations; Completing related reports and paperwork and maintains and updates files; Researching and resolving recordkeeping errors or discrepancies; Completing miscellaneous clerical functions and assisting Records personnel as necessary; Processing dealer check payoffs. IMPORTANT NOTE
This role requires in\-person work at our Operations Center in West Chester, OH.
It is not a remote position. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Additional business coursework helpful. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
General understanding of Credit Union loan titles and processes.
Knowledge of specific state title processing requirements and regulations.
Knowledge of related computer applications. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
One year to two years of related office experience. SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Well organized and attentive to detail.
Strong communication and telephone skills.
Coordinates activities well with others.
Ability to use typewriters, fiche and film retrievals, viewers, PCs, imaging systems, 10\-key, telephones, and other basic business equipment.
