Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail\-oriented Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant to join our team! This job can be done mostly remotely with a weekly visit to the store to pick\-up any additional paperwork needed to complete tasks.
Duties
- Manage day\-to\-day bookkeeping tasks using accounting software, QuickBooks online, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to maintain precise financial records in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Prepare and process journal entries and accounts payable to support smooth cash flow management.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to verify the accuracy of financial data.
- Assist with payroll processing.
- Generate detailed financial reports, including budgeting summaries and financial statement writing, to support decision\-making.
- Support administrative functions such as managing correspondence, scheduling appointments, maintaining filing systems, and handling 10\-key typing tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in accounting software, QuickBooks online, for essential for managing financial records accurately.
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, non\-profit accounting practices, and governmental accounting standards.
- Knowledge of GAAP guidelines, double entry bookkeeping, debits \& credits, journal entries, and general ledger accounting.
- Experience with account reconciliation procedures including bank reconciliation and account analysis.
- Familiarity with financial concepts like budgeting, financial report writing, and account reconciliation processes.
- Ability to perform detailed account analysis and maintain precise general ledger records.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks such as accounts payable, payroll processing, email correspondence, scheduling, and organizational reports.
- Strong attention to detail in performing balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation tasks.
- Competence in using QuickBooks online along with a solid grasp of technical accounting practices.
